NICU quality initiatives
As the largest neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in the United States, Texas Children’s
Newborn Center cared for more than 2,500 infants in 2013, more than 400 of them in
Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women NICU. To serve this large population, 96 additional
neonatal nurses were brought on board the NICU nursing staff last year.
