Elysse Mata and her husband John Eric (above) were overcome with emotion after the successful
separation of their conjoined twin daughters, Knatalye Hope and Adeline Faith. A team of
doctors at Texas Children’s Hospital successfully separated the sisters during a -hour surgery
in February. Specialty doctors from pediatric surgery, plastic surgery, cardiovascular surgery,
urolog y, liver transplant surgery, orthopedic surgery and pediatric g ynecolog y assisted in the
surgery. “ We are so blessed to be at a place like Texas Children’s, where we have access to the
